SATKHIRA, Jan 15 (UNB): Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AKM Nurul Huda said on Monday the process for holding the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election will start in October this year.

"All the political parties will participate in the upcoming national polls," hoped the CEC while responding to the reporters at the district circuit house around 11:00 am.

He said the election may be held in December this year or January in 2019.

He said there is no scope for using EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) in the coming national election.

Due to some administrative complexities and river erosion, the demarcation work in several constituencies has not been completed yet.

However, it will not affect the election, he added.

While replying to a question on BNP's proposal about 'supporting government' to uphold the next general election, he said it is a political matter and the government will take decision over the issue.
