Enumerators start door-to-door visit for collecting data about voters

KHULNA, Aug 17 (UNB): Enumerators Friday started door-to-door visit in the city's 31 wards for collecting data to prepare voters' list with photograph and national identification card.
Those attaining 18 years of age on January 1, 2008 will be enrolled in the voters' list.
Meanwhile, colourful campaign rallies were brought out from four places of the city to motivate people to enlist their names in the voters' list.
Khulna City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Tayebur Rahman inaugurated the main rally at Shaheed Hadith Park in the morning.
Local officials, members of the joint forces, NGO representatives, teachers and others were present on the occasion.
