Ershad bemoans \\\'lack of democracy\\\' in BD

CHITTAGONG, Nov 12 (agences): Observing that there is no democracy and good governance in the country, Jatiya Party (JP) chairman HM Ershad said Wednesday they will build a new Bangladesh establishing good governance if his party returns to power.

"There's no democracy in the country…there's lack of good governance.  People want good governance. They want to get rid of the fear of terrorism, enforced disappearances and killings," he said.

Mr Ershad, also a special envoy to the Prime Minister, was addressing a rally organised by his party at Laldighi Maidan in the city.
