EU envoy meets Fakhrul-

Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Bangladesh Michael Miller paid a courtesy call on LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the Secretariat in the capital on Tuesday, report agencies.

The meeting featured fruitful discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding partnership between Bangladesh and the EU. Both sides underscored the importance of further deepening and broadening existing ties.

The minister expressed interest in utilising the EU's expertise in the water management sector, noting that joint knowledge-sharing initiatives in this area would greatly benefit Bangladesh.

The EU envoy described Bangladesh as a reliable and trusted development partner and reaffirmed both sides' commitment to further deepening and expanding ongoing cooperation.Key issues including decentralisation of governance, advancement of e-governance, infrastructure development and sustainable development were also discussed.
