Ex-AL MP Raju's wife sued

JESSORE, Feb 13: Ex lawmaker and also president of Jessore district unit Awami League Ali Reza Raju's wife Firoza Reza Raju was sued Tuesday by the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC).
Selina Akhter, assistant director of the ACC, filed the case with Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station for being the owner of Tk 4,272,989 without having any legal income and hiding information of properties worth Tk 582,334 in the statement submitted to the ACC.
The case was filed under section 27(1)26 (2) of ACC Act-2004 and section 15Gha (5) under Special Power Rules of 2007. The case No is 57.
Earlier, the ACC filed another case with the same police station against Ali Reza Raju. But none was arrested in this regard.
