Ex-chief whip Feroz remanded for 3 more days

A Dhaka court on Satutday placed former national parliament chief whip ASM Feroz on three-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of Sohag Mia, 16, in city's Bhatara area on July 19 during the student-people movement, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam granted a three-day remand as Sub-Inspector (SI) Masudur Rahman, investigating officer of the case, sought a 10-day remand while producing the accused before the court.

During the movement, Sohag Mia was shot dead by the police in front of Faraji Hospital near 100ft road under Bhatara Police Station on July 19 afternoon, said the case documents.
