Former industries minister Amir Hossain Amu has been arrested from West Dhanmondi area in the capital, report agencies.
A team of DB police arrested Amu, also an advisory council member of Awami League, on Wednesday morning, said Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropoli-tan Police (DMP).
Amu was wanted in different cases, he added.
