Former State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, who is currently an under-trial prisoner at Keraniganj Central Jail, was admitted to hospital after falling ill on Thursday night, reports UNB.
Prison guard Billal stated that Majumder, detainee number 36040/24, complained of chest pain at around 07:30 pm. He has a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health issues.
Subsequently, prison authorities took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at arround 09:30 pm, where he received treatment in the CCU of the new building.
