Ex-MP Ashika Sultana sent to jail

A Dhaka court has sent to jail Ashika Sultana, former lawmaker from Nilphamari-3 constituency, after completion of her three-day remand in a case lodged under the Anti-

Terrorism Act, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam passed the order as police produced her before the court and pleaded to keep her behind bars till the end of probe in the case on Thursday.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque on June 29 placed Ashika Sultana on a three-day fresh remand in the case.
