Ex-MP Nadavi shown arrested in five more cases in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 15 (BSS): Ex-MP Dr Abu Reza Muhammad Nadvi was shown arrested in five more cases filed with different police stations in the city.
Four senior judicial magistrate courts passed four
separate orders on Wedenesday, allowing pleas from Chandgaon, Panchliash, Doublemooring and Kotwali police stations.
The courts also instructed the jail authorities to keep him in jail and ensure necessary medical treatment and other facilities for him as per jail code. Dr Nadvi is a former AL lawmaker from Satkania-Lohagara constituency.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sarkar Hasan Shahriar, First Metropolitan Magistrate Md Abu Bakar Siddique, 4th Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafa, and 6th Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Islam passed the orders.
Dr Nadvi was produced before the court at around 9:00am amid tight security, Court Inspector Habibur Rahman said, adding that the ex-MP was sent back to Chattogram Jail after court orders.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police had arrested Dr Nadvi from the capital's Uttara area on December 15 last year.
