CHATTOGRAM, Dec 12 (BSS): A Chattogram court on Sunday ordered former Member of Parliament (MP) of Satkania-Lohagara constituency Dr Abu Reza Muhammad Nadvi to be shown arrested in five additional cases filed with different police stations in Chattogram.
The court also instructed the jail authorities to ensure necessary medical treatment and prison facilities following a petition from his lawyer.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Mominun Nisa Khanam passed the order allowing separate pleas of the Lohagara and Satkhania Thana Police on Sunday.
According to Chattogram District Court Inspector Habibur Rahman, the police applied for a seven-day remand for Dr Nadvi.
