A Dhaka court has placed former Jamalpur-1 lawmaker Nur Mohammad on a three-day remand in a case filed with Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam passed the order on Sunday after police produced him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Nur Mohammad was arrested from a house in the capital's Gulshan area on Saturday night.
According to the case statement, leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Awami League and its associate bodies allegedly brought out a procession on Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Sarani at around 9:30 am on June 18. They allegedly chanted anti-government slogans and exploded cocktails. Police later filed the case in connection with the incident.
