KISHOREGANJ, Jan 15 (UNB): A case has been filed against 124 people, including former President Abdul Hamid and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, accusing them of their involvement in attacks during the student movement in Kishoreganj.

According to sources, 50 cases have been filed in Kishoreganj district since the fall of the Awami League government on August 5 last year, with 11 lodged at Sadar Police Station alone.
This marks the first instance of former President Abdul Hamid being named as an accused, listed as the third accused in this particular case.
The case statement alleges that the accused, operating from both domestic and international locations, orchestrated mass killings nationwide and supplied weapons, including firearms and crude bombs, to suppress the student movement.
On August 4 last year, the accused allegedly attacked a student procession at Gourangabazar in Kishoreganj town, leaving several people, including the plaintiff, injured.
"After receiving prolonged treatment for my injuries, I have finally come forward to file this case," said Tahmul.
