Ex- RCC mayor Minu freed on bail

RAJSHAHI, Sept 17 (UNB): After two months of his arrest, former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and BNP leader Mizanur Rahman Minu was freed from jail on Wednesday night following bail in all cases against him.

The BNP leader was released while under treatment at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Police members guarding him were pulled off around 8:15 pm from the hospital after his release order reached the jail authorities in the afternoon.

Jail Super Shafiqul Islam of Rajshahii central jail said Minu got bail in all cases.

On September 9, Minu was admitted to RMCH after he complained of chest pain.
