Ex-state minister Milon indicted

CHANDPUR, Mar 5 (UNB): A court here Wednesday indicted former State Minister for Education ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon in a case filed for snatching and extortion.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mahbubur Rahman framed charges in the morning when Milon was present on the dock.

According to the case statement, on January 5, 2007, Milon along with 18 others assaulted no 9 Karaia union Jubo League President Alamgir Hossain Patwari of Srirampur village in Kachua upazila and snatched his mobile phone and motorcycle. Later, they also demanded Tk 5 lakh as extortion from him.
