Extremist killed in Satkhira \\\'encounter\\\'

A leader of the outlawed outfit 'Purba Bangla Communist Party' was killed in an 'encounter' with police at Tala Upazila in Satkhira Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
Two constables were also injured in the gun battle.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Gaffar Parh Aka Tushar (45), was military commander of the party's Khulna division.
Tushar's associate Saiful Islam was also injured in the shootout.
Police raided the area on a tip-off that the extremists were holding a meeting there, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Tala thana Sheikh Abu Bakar Siddique.
