Factional clash leaves 15 BNP men injured

SAVAR, Oct 16 (UNB): At least 15 BNP activists were injured in a clash between two rival groups of the party near the National Mausoleum Saturday.
Sources said the clash ensued when the supporters of former state minister and BNP joint secretary Amanullah Aman and former MP of Savar Dewan Muhammad Salauddin were holding separate meetings near a Parjatan Corporation restaurant.
Among the injured, Mosleuddin, Kamal Chowdhury, Hazi Mizanur Rahman, Mozaffar Hossain and Abdul Malek were seriously injured and admitted into a local hospital.
Ashulia Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Sirajul Islam said the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
