Fakhrul sent to Kashimpur jail

GAZIPUR, Jan 8(bdnews24.com): BNP spokesperson Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, arrested on sabotage charges, has been taken to the Kashimpur Central Jail.

He has been kept at the 'Surma Bhaban' used for VIP prisoners, said the jail's Senior Superintendent Md Jahangir Kabir. Mirza Fakhrul was arrested Tuesday in front of the National Press Club.

A Dhaka court rejected Wednesday his bail prayer and turned down police's remand plea also. He was transferred to Kashimpur Thursday afternoon.
