M Fazlul Karim, present Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy, has been appointed the next ambassador to Saudi Arabia, reports UNB.
A career diplomat, Karim joined Bangladesh foreign service in 1986.
He served as a director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, counsellor at the Bangladesh embassy in Washington, deputy high commissioner at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad, Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate in Hong Kong, Director General (South Asia, SARRC and United Nations) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
