Firearm seized from BNP leader's house in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Jan 4 (UNB): Law enforcement officers seized a firearm, ammunition and an explosive device during a raid on a residence in Kushtia's Mirpur upazila in the early hours of Saturday.

According to a media statement issued by the Kushtia Army Camp, on a tip-off, the drive was carried out at the residence of Nur A Bulbul, the general secretary of the BNP's Malihad union unit.

During the raid, officers recovered a shooter gun, two bullets and a bomb from the rooftop of the house, the media release added.
