Four JMB men put on 6-day remand

A Dhaka court placed on Saturday four members of banned Islamist outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on a six-day remand each in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jahangir Hossain passed the order when Akhter Hossain, sub-inspector of the Dakkhin Khan thana and also investigation officer of the case produced the JMB members before it seeking a 10-day remand for each.
The four JMB members are Abbdur Razzak, Hanjela, Mofazzal and Ziaur Rahman.
Earlier on Friday, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive, arrested the four JMB members in possession of a grenade and some explosives from Kasai Bazar in Dakkhin Khan area of the city.
Hedayet Hossain, warrant officer of Rab-10, filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Dakkhin Khan police station on the same day.
