Four more witnesses testify in graft case against Benazir

Four new witnesses have testified in a graft case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against former Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed, reports BSS.

The four witnesses are Abu Hena Md Zakir, Akram Hossain Riad, Sohel Miah and Sajibur Rahman.

The four appeared before the Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 on Wednesday. After recording the testimonies of the witnesses, Judge Abdullah Al Mamun adjourned the hearing until June 23. So far, five prosecution witnesses have testified in the case.

According to the case documents, when the ACC directed submission of a wealth statement, Benazir Ahmed submitted his asset declaration through his lawyer on August 27, 2024.
