Four members of the same family including a woman have been stranded on the zero line near the Dinajpur Sadar upazila border after being allegedly pushed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF), reports bdnews24.com.
Kamalpur Union Village Police member Saiful Islam said the BSF 'had pushed' the four people past the Dainur border pillar No. 315 around 5:30am on Saturday.
Soon afterward, locals noticed the situation and informed the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), which rushed to the scene and stopped the attempt to push them in.
The four people were sitting on the water-stagnant zero line as of 5:00 pm. The BGB has intensified patrolling along the border. A number of villagers were also seen there.
Even though a video showed the BGB troops talk to the four individuals, they declined to comment to the media.
