Free, fair polls possible through consensus: Badiul Alam

Election Reform Commission Chief Badiul Alam Majumdar has said free and fair elections are possible only through consensus, reports BSS.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion at the Gangni Upazila Parishad auditorium in Meherpur on Friday.
Badiul Alam Majumdar said the lower house will be based on constituencies, while the upper house will follow the proportional representation (PR) system. Both have positive and negative aspects, he noted, saying "We believe this arrangement is necessary."
The Hunger Project Bangladesh's PFG and Youth Leader participated in the event.
During the session, Badiul Alam Majumdar, who also serves as SHUJAN secretary, engaged in extensive discussions with the leaders regarding the reforms on election system.
Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Monir Haidar was also present.
