Gaffar Chowdhury is conscience of mass people: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said Sunday eminent writer and columnist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury is the conscience of mass people as his powerful writings always depict their hopes and aspirations, reports BSS.

"Extra-ordinary writings of Gaffar Chowdhury always inspire Bangali nation to build exploitation-free non-communal Bangladesh," he told a function organised on the occasion of the handing- over ceremony of PIB-Sohel Samad Memorial Award-2014 in the auditorium of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) in the city.

Media Adviser to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Information Secretary Martuza Ahmed, Editor of the daily Samakal Golam Sarwar, senior journalist and cultural personality Kamal Lohani and PIB Director General Md Shah Alamgir, among others, addressed the function with Chairman of PIB Habibur Rahman in the chair.
