Ganajagaran begins campaign against war criminals in S-W dists

A faction of Ganajagaran Manch led by Imran H Sarker began on Friday their special campaign for staying the presidential clemency for war criminals and banning the politics of Jamaat-Shibir, reports UNB.
A team of about 150 activists of the Manch left Shahbagh intersection at 9am for the campaign, titled ‘Jagaran Jatra’. They were scheduled to hold street campaigns in Jhinaidah, Chuadanga before reaching Meherpur where they would hold a rally in front of the Shamsuzzaman Park in the town Friday, Ganajagaron Manch spokesman Imran H Sarker told the news agency. Today(Saturday), the Manch will hold rallies in Kushtia, Ishwardi, Natore and Rajshahi.
Noting that Jamaat-Shibir’s destructive activities are a threat to the security of the people, Imran said one of the main goals of their campaign is to build support for the demand of banning Jamaat-Shibir.
