The country's garment workers submitted a memorandum to the ministry of labour Thursday demanding festival bonus and all outstanding arrears within September 16.
The leaders of Bangladesh Garment Workers Unity Council (BGWUC) urged the factory owners to pay festival bonus and all outstanding arrears before Eid festival.
They also demanded immediate withdrawal of illegal closure of five factories and provide compensation including all dues to the workers.
In their memorandum, they claimed to form a wage board increasing their minimum wages to Tk 5000 from existing Tk 1662.
