Gayeshwar placed on fresh remand

A Dhaka court placed on Tuesday BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and three other leaders on a two-day fresh remand each in a case filed under the Special Powers Act, reports UNB.

Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order when Detective Branch sub-inspector Bahauddin Faruki, also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before his court on completion of their three-day remand in another case filed with Shahbagh Police Station, seeking a 10-day remand for each of them.
