Get ready to unseat govt: Khaleda

Terming the current regime repressive one, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday asked the country’s people to get ready for ousting the government through a strong movement. ‘’People have got fed-up with the continued oppression and repression by this regime. Get ready for launching a strong movement to unseat it,’’ she said. Khaleda, also a former prime minister, made the call while addressing a street rally in front of Bogra Circuit House around 1:45pm on her way to Joypurhat. The BNP chief alleged that the government was trying to annihilate opposition leaders and activists and common people by resorting to extrajudicial killings and forced disappearances and abductions. She said people now want to get rid of this killer regime. “It has now become essential to overthrow this abusive government immediately to establish a pro-people one. Khaleda also urged the party leaders and activists to get united putting behind their conflicts and differences of opinion, according to UNB.
