Ghulam Azam taken to CCU of BSSMU

Nonagenarian retired Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Ghulam Azam, who was sentenced to 90 years' imprisonment unto death for masterminding atrocities during the 1971 liberation war, was taken to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Tuesday morning following doctors' advice, reports UNB.

"Ghulam Azam was taken to Coronary Care Unit of BSMMU from the prison cell of the hospital at 8:30am as doctors advised so," Senior Jail Super Forman Ali told the news agency.
