Three men have 'gang-raped' a young woman after dragging her to an orchard at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj on Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
Hridoy, Markin and Biru were named in the case filed by the victim's father at Kashiani Police Station on Monday.
Police said all three accused remain absconding since the incident at Char Padmabeel village.
"The victim has recently passed SSC examination," said SI Enamul Haque Chowdhury.
"She was heading to her uncle's house in the evening when the trio dragged her to a nearby tree orchard, gagging her mouth. They left her there after raping." The victim was admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital, added SI Enamul.
"She is undergoing tests. We'll get a clearer picture after the entire process is completed," said Niaz Mohammad, resident medical officer (RMO) of the hospital.
On May 21, a tribal girl, in her 20s, was gang-raped in a microbus in the city.
