The Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday directed the government to implement within two months the Judicial Service Pay Commission (JSPC) Report, reports UNB.
The Judicial Service Pay Commission report was submitted to the government in December last year.
The Apex court directive came during hearing on the progress of the follow-up activities after separation of the judiciary from the executive control in November 2007 in line with the Masder Hossain case.
Passing the order, an Appellate Division full court, headed by Chief Justice MM Ruhul Amin, adjourned the hearing until July 22.
At the outset of the hearing, Attorney General (AG) Mahbubey Alam submitted a follow-up progress report after the separation of the judiciary as asked for.
The AG informed the court that the government had already allocated necessary funds for purchasing transports for the Chief Judicial Magistrates functioning in greater districts after the separation of the judiciary.
