The High Court Wednesday directed the authorities concerned to give all relevant facilities of two-year extension of retirement age to the government employees, who were on LPR during publication of the retirement age gazette notification.
A HC bench in judgment gave the directive in response to four separate writ petitions filed by 389 government employees, sources in the HC said.
The government extended the government employees' retirement age from 57 to 59 in a gazette notification published on December 26, 2011.
Of the government employees, who were on LPR during the publication of the gazette notification, the 389 ones filed the petitions.
