BNP spokesman Mirza Fakhrul Islam alleged Friday that the government had failed to give a boost to manpower export to the Middle East, Malaysia and other countries despite having tremendous prospects, reports UNB.
"The government has failed to export increased manpower not only to Malaysia but also to the Middle East as it couldn't handle the matter properly," he said.
Fakhrul, the BNP acting secretary general, came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after placing wreaths at the grave of BNP founder late president Ziaur Rahman with the leaders and activists of Jatiyatabatdi Muktijuddher Prajanma, marking its 18th founding anniversary.
He alleged that the government is making secret deals with foreign countries and they are not making those public. "The government is not making public the agreements they're signing with various countries."
On the government's claim of signing an agreement with Malaysia over manpower export during the Prime Minister's recent Kuala Lumpur visit, the BNP leader said a deal was already there in this regard with Malaysia.
