Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said on Tuesday no request has been made to the government to take BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia abroad for her medical treatment, reports BSS.

"We have not received any application from Khaleda Zia's family to take her abroad for treatment," he said while talking to journalists after distributing 'Eid gifts' on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to unemployed people at Nazneen School in the city's East Rajabazar.

The minister said the government has already extended Khaleda Zia's imprisonment suspension for another six months allowing her to receive treatment staying home.

He said Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given Eid gifts to thousands of people so that they can enjoy Eid along with all.
