Govt \\\'gives priority to dev of CHT\\\' educational instts

BANDARBAN, Sept 20 (BSS): State Minister for CHT Affairs Bir Bahadur said here today the government is giving priority to the development of the educational institutions in rural hill areas.
The government is developing educational institutions and offering facilities to attract people to education, said the state minister at an opinion exchange meeting marking the foundation-stone laying of Tk 680-million academic building of Reichha High School under Bandarban sadar upazila.
The state minister said emphasis is being given on quick development of neglected educational institutions in the hill region.
As part of this, the ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs and other government agencies are spending huge money for rebuilding, renovation and repairing of educational institutions in the villages in Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachhari districts.
Presided over by Reichha High School Head Master Mleha Marma, the meeting was also addressed by Deputy Commissioner KM Tariqul Islam, Police Super Debdas Bhatyacharya, Sadar Upazila Chairman M Abdul Quddus, District Council Principal Executive Officer Mominul Rashid and District Council Members Kazi Majibar Rahman, Kyasa Pru Marma, Ang Pru Mro and Reichha Union Council Chairman Sabu Khaya Marma.
