The present government can extend its life expectancy for some time by beating, killing but they have to leave, said BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury on Friday, reports UNB.
"Their time is up; their expiry date is over," he said, "they have to leave".
Khasru was addressing a discussion titled "1/11 Conspiracy, Today's Context: Khaleda Zia and Democracy in Bangladesh" organised by Bangladesh Youth Forum at Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday.
"We will restore our rights at the cost of life. The world conscience, the world democracy is on our side, the people are on our side. Our victory is certain. But that's why we have to take an oath in the coming days. Everyone has to be with the movement every hour, every day. These two months have to be dedicated to the people of the country," he said.
"The election is a contest between one political party and another political party; A reflection of the will of the people. Here a team's rivalry is with another team or more than one team. But right now, the country is being run by a regime. Many people may say that Awami League.
