Govt to create permanent jobs for youths

The government is introducing a programme to create permanent employment for unemployed educated youths after completion of two-year term jobs under National Service Programme (NSP), officials said. The Department of Youth Development (DYD), the implementing agency of NSP, has already received offers from different private trade organisations for employment of thousands of youths under the programme, reports BSS. The DYD, run under of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, will sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Garment Manu­facturers' and Exporters' Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knitwear Manu­facturers' and Exporters' Association (BKMEA) and Bangladesh Textiles Mills' Association (BTMA) in this connection.
