Health and Family Welfare Minister and Awami League Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim said on Wednesday the government wants BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to take part in the next general elections, reports BSS.
"Awami League wants to fight the election battle with the participation of all. People will again vote for Awami League to expedite the development trend, which is going on in the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he said.
The minister said these while addressing a function organized on the occasion of handing over certificates by Bangladesh Accreditation Board to Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA).
Presided over by DGDA Director General Major General Md. Mustafizur Rahman, the function was also addressed by Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) adviser Salman F Rahman, its president Nazmul Hassan, MP, Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh's Vice-President Mosaddek Hossain, among others.
Nasim also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has built an illuminated country by resolving the power shortage issue. She has also stopped the rise of militants, he added.
"Once Bangladesh used to import medicines, but now we are exporting medicines to 151 countries after meeting the local demand. Bangladesh has achieved the feet as medicines produced by us are of world standard," the health minister added.
