BNP chairperson's adviser ASM Hannan Shah has said presidents and general secretaries of BNP district and upazila committees will be called to a meeting after Ramadan to decide if they would join dialogue with the Election Commission (EC), reports UNB.
Talking to reporters at his residence, he demanded immediate withdrawal of police from the BNP central office.
Hannan Shah said there was no cause of any clash at the BNP office, but expelled secretary general Mannan Bhuiyan is trying to create conflict in the party at the behest of some quarters.
BNP leaders and workers will decide who owns the BNP central office, he said.
The BNP central office at Naya Palatn has been kept locked by the police to prevent any possible clash between the supporters of Khandaker Delwar and Mannan Bhuiyan.
Hannan Shah said the government should work in accordance with its announcement and should not encourage the elements who want to create disturbance in the party.
Replying to a question about B Chowdhury, he said a decision would be taken in consultation with the party's senior leaders.
