Awami League publication and publicity secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud suggested on Thursday BNP to dissolve its central committee removing chairperson Khaleda Zia, paving the path for the reform of the party, reports UNB.
"It'll be of no use to dissolve and reform all the committees across the country. Please dissolve your central committee and remove your leader Khaleda Zia from her post," he said.
"You also remove Tarique Rahman who is orchestrating terrorist activities in Bangladesh sitting in London. This is how BNP could be reformed," he added.
Hasan Mahmud came up with the remarks at a discussion at the National Press Club in the wake of media reports that hinted BNP is keen to reform its committees across the country.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque also spoke at the discussion organised by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad.
