Hasina, 128 others sued over killing of vendor

A case has been filed against 129 people including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina over the killing of roadside vendor Jalal Uddin during the July-August mass uprising, reports BSS.

Victim's widow Moli Begum filed the complaint at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain on November 21. The court after recording the statement of the complainant, asked the Mugda Police Station to record the matter as first information report (FIR), court sources said on Sunday.

The other prominent accused in the case are-Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, Mohibul Haque Chowdhury Nowfel, Hasan Mahmud, Anisul Haque, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Mohammad A Arafat, Shahjahan Khan, Sayeed Khokon, Qamrul Islam and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.

According to the case documents, Jalal Uddin, who used to sell milk cream and curd in his roadside stall in Maniknagar area, got shot on head at around 07:00 pm on July 20. He was killed on the spot.
