Hasina greets Gordon Brown

Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina Saturday greeted new British Prime Minister (PM) Gordon Brown, reports bdnews24.com.
In a message, the former prime minister hoped Brown's efficient and dynamic leadership would further strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and Britain.
"We believe Brown will play an important role to promote democracy, peace and development," Hasina said.
She also expressed hope the new British PM would extend a hand to developing countries to alleviate poverty, root out terrorism, and establish democracy and good governance.
