Hasina greets Joy on his 36th birthday

Jailed Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina greeted her only son Sajeeb Wazed Joy on his 36th birthday Friday, one of her lawyers said.
Counsel Anisul Huq, who met Hasina at the sub-jail on the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan premises at 4:00 pm, said that the AL chief asked him to convey the message to Joy, reports bdnews24.com.
Joy, who lives in the United States, passed his birthday without talking to his mother since a phone is not available in the jail for an internee.
Joy's father, Wazed Miah, is in Square Hospital where he is being treated for multiple complications. It was not clear if Joy talked to his father.
Hasina and her party denied the charges and said they were designed to prevent her from taking part in next elections, expected to be held anytime between October and December next year.
