Hasina invited to consultation on constitution amendment on Apr 26

Awami League president Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with her party senior colleagues, has been invited by the Parliamentary Special Committee to the consultations on constitution amendment on April 26, reports UNB.
"I have received a letter from the Jatiya Sangsad Committee and forwarded the letter to Ganobhaban," Mrinal Kanti Das, Deputy Office Secretary of the party told the news agency.
Mrinal said the Parliamentary Committee wishes to hold the consultation on April 26 at 11 am at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The AL Deputy Office Secretary said the special committee's secretary M Hossain, also the joint secretary of Parliament Secretariat, handed over the letter at around 6 pm Wednesday.
The committee has formally sent an invitation to the leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia to take her opinion regarding amending the constitution.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's Personal Secretary Saleh Ahmed received the invitation at about 8:05pm, Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque told the reporters Wednesday.
"The letter is yet to be opened. Chairperson will open it and read it. Then she will take decision," he said.
Farroque said secretary of the special committee on the Constitution Amendment Mohammad Hossain handed over the invitation letter to Saleh Ahmed.
