Detained former premier and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina is likely to be quizzed tomorrow (Monday) in connection with a graft case involving a barge-mounted power plant, reports UNB.
Sources said a team of the Anti-corruption Commission could interrogate her at the makeshift jail on the parliament premises in the Tk 30 million graft case filed against her and six others with Tejgaon police station on September 2.
Earlier on Tuesday, the ACC secured permission of the court to question the detained former Prime Minister over the charge.
It has been stated in the First Information Report (FIR) that the former premier received the money from two companies-the Summit Group and the United Group-during the period between October 24, 1996 and November 24, 1997.
According to the allegation, they paid the money in exchange for permission to set up a barge-mounted power plant in Khulna.
