The High Court (HC) has cleared the way for independent candidate Hero Alam to take part in the December 30 national election, reports UNB.
A bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil issued the order on Monday after hearing separate writ petitions filed by the actor.
Ashraful Alam, popularly known as Hero Alam, moved the court on Sunday challenging the EC's decision to cancel his nomination to contest the upcoming polls from the Bogura-4 constituency.
The EC rejected his nomination on December 02 as he could not submit the signatures of one per cent voters of his constituency.
