March 23, 2009 00:00:00

Jamaat-e-Islami leader Barrister Abdur Razzaq and his wife Saleha Siddiq, apprehending arrest, secured Sunday anticipatory bail for three months from the High Court (HC) on surrender in a case of "criminal intimidation to police on duty and trespass," reports UNB.
Passing the interim order, a division bench comprising Justice Syed AB Mahmudul Huq and Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury issued a rule asking the government to explain why the petitioners should not be granted regular bail.
On March 19, Dewan Abul Hossain, Immigration branch police inspector at Zia International Airport (ZIA), filed a regular criminal case with Biman Bandar police station against the Razzaq couple.
