HC grants bails to eight bigwig graft-convicts

The High Court (HC) Thursday granted interim bails to eight bigwigs, including ex-state ministers Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya of Awami League and Ziaul Huq Zia of BNP, convicted in graft cases, reports UNB.
The six others securing bails are: former Awami League lawmakers Haji Mohammad Selim and Mohiuddin Ahmed of Munshiganj, former BNP lawmaker Nadim Mostafa, ex-AL lawmaker Moqbul Hossain's son Masudur Rahman, ex-finance minister M Saifur Rahman's son Shafiur Rahman and ex-NBR member Maksudur Rahman.
