HC quashes judgment on Huda couple bribery case

The High Court (HC) Sunday quashed the trial court judgment punishing ex-Communication Minister Barrister Nazmul Huda along with his wife Advocate Sigma Huda in a bribery case, reports UNB.
An HC division bench comprising Justice Siddiqur Rahman Mian and Justice Ataur Rahman Khan delivered the verdict upon a petition filed by the Huda couple.
On August 27 in 2007, a special judge's court sentenced Barrister Nazmul Huda to seven years' rigorous imprisonment and his wife Sigma Huda three years' simple imprisonment in a graft case.
